Jacqueline Rose Williams, 84, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 12, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born October 5, 1936 in Garfield, NJ, a daughter of the late Peter and Frances Scaglione. Jackie, when she was a young lady, moved from New Jersey to Connelsville, Pa, where she lived for many years until she moved to Morgantown in 1997. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Star City, WV and a former member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, Connellsville, PA. Known for her kindness, giving, and compassion, Jackie always helped anyone in need. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and above all, family was her most treasured asset. She will truly be missed but her legacy of love and generosity will live forever in many hearts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmen Williams; a brother, Jack Scaglione and a sister, Mae Licciardi.
Surviving her is a sister, Sophie Posluszny, of New Jersey and many loving nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 3334 University Ave., Morgantown, WV, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. where there will be a scriptural wake service at 7:15 p.m.
A funeral mass will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 116 S. 2nd St., Connellsville, PA, with a visitation from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the church, with Fr. Paul Lisik as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Rita's Cemetery, Connellsville, PA.
The Williams family would like to give a special thank you to Goldie and all of the caretakers, as well as Amedisys Home Health Care, for the dedication and love they have all shown to Jackie.
